Unique Finish (Natural Variation)
Each piece may look slightly different due to the nature of ceramics and the firing process. You may notice small black spots, pinholes, glaze variation, slight warping/wobble, colour differences, or minor size differences. These are part of the character of the piece and are not defects.
Care Tips
- As ceramic is more absorbent than porcelain, we recommend soaking in warm/hot water before first use.
- Do not leave the item soaking in dirty water after use (this may cause odours or stains).
- Wash with kitchen detergent, wipe dry, and let it dry completely before storing.
About Mino Ware(美濃焼)
This set is made in Mino, Gifu Prefecture, Japan’s largest ceramic production area, accounting for around 50–60% of Japan’s pottery output.
With over 1,300 years of history, Mino ware dates back to the Kofun period. During the Azuchi-Momoyama era, famous tea styles such as Shino, Oribe, Kiseto, and Setoguro were developed.
Rather than one single style, Mino ware is known for its versatility—producing tableware that reflects changing tastes and everyday Japanese dining culture.
